Bio:
Gabe Rosenn grew up outside of Boston and began playing jazz guitar in high school. Attending Vassar College from 1996-2000, he was a featured soloist in the school's big band, played in a modern jazz quartet, and later started two bands- Funkotron and the Girl Scouts, an experimental hip hop group. In addition, he interned at Blue Note Records and led Vice Jazz, an organization that brought jazz acts to campus on a regular basis.
After graduation, Gabe continued to pursue jazz, blues, and funk in New York City. He played with a Blues Ensemble at the New School, performed with Akoya Afrobeat Band, Mojahva, and participated in the Jazz Apprenticeship Program. He also played with Blueshead, an original blues group. He also did film and video work- some of which was music related.
He names Kenny Burrell, BB King, Eric Clapton, the Meters, Ronnie Earl, Stevie Ray Vaughn as musical influences.
He recently relocated to LA from Boston.
